On my recent trip to home, my nephew said, “Maasi, you keep planning trips for Mamma & Papa. This time plan a vacation for me & didi. And we want to go to Dubai.” I laughed but also realised how much kids think these days and have become so clear in what they want and they DEMAND for it so easily! We used to wish, hope… but rarely stated as to what we NEED! He shook me and told, “It must be special okay!” He returned to his cartoon channel, giggling with ‘Nobita’ and I, was loaded with a great task! :/
After putting some thought, I was thankful to him for mentioning a place of his choice- Dubai! Not bad at all! Dubai is a brilliant place for everyone. So this time, my blog goes about an exclusive vacation for kids, at Dubai!
After some research, I found out that there is a LOT to enjoy for kids in Dubai. With all the information I could gather, the best places for leisure & entertainment of kids are as follows:
1. A day at Jumeirah Beach:
The reason is simple. It’s a beach and kids will have a great opportunity to unwind, play in sand, surf and sea. It’s a perfect place for family fun. Also visit Burj Al Arab, the much famed building that put Dubai on the map! Interiors of this luxe hotel are simply stunning. It features a 590-feet tall atrium and a large seawater aquarium. Head to the ‘Skyview Bar’ to have exceptional views of the coastline including Palm Jumeirah and The World.
If time permits, you can also make a visit to Wild Wadi Water Park, one of the most exciting water parks of Dubai. There are innumerous activities for all ages here. There are 09 major rides including the main ride, Jumeirah Sceirah which gives you a huge free-fall of 120 metres! Apart from that there are several cool rides, river to water-float, large wave-pool, surfing area and an amazing Children’s Water Park for the li’l ones.

2. Children’s City
Children aged between 2 to 15 will absolutely love Children’s City. Being the first children’s education centre in UAE, there is lot to do for kids here like Nature Center, International Culture Center, Workshop Area, Toddlers Area, Space Exploration, Planetarium, Play Area, Theatre and so, so much more!
After that, you can also visit Dubai Dolphinarium, a short walk from Children’s City. Watch exciting dolphin shows and let kids get friendly with the lovely creatures.
3. Ski Dubai- A definite visit!
The very first indoor ski slope in UAE, Ski Dubai offers a fantastic real snow setting where you can go tobogganing, snowboarding, skiing and lot more! There is also a Snow Park where you can build a snowman, enjoy a snow fight and do anything that you wish to! While skiing has minimum age criteria, Snow Park has no age restriction so even toddlers can have fun there.
A must is a Penguin Visit where you can go, play with, and have photos with real penguins! Amidst all this fun, don’t forget you are in one of the biggest mall of the world! If kids are not that small, you can even think of leaving them to their own for some time while you stroll in the Mall of the Emirates.
4. Hot Air Ballooning
Kids above 5 years of age? How about giving them a perfect reason to wake up early in the morning- taking them high up in the sky in a hot air balloon? Think about going far out into the desert oasis and setting off in to the morning sky to see the sunrise above the Gulf Sea. But beware! It’s a very costly affair.
5. Desert Safari
Now c’mon! Some logic here! Going to UAE and missing out on Desert can’t be accepted, so gear up for an exciting desert safari. Warning: Not for people who get car sick. :O It’s a crazy drive up and down the sand dunes of Dubai. Enjoy a barbeque dinner afterwards and try some moves at Belly Dancing. Your kids most probably have already watched it on TV so it’s OKAY! 😀
6. Ferrari World – Abu Dhabi
Yes it’s in Abu Dhabi but with the fact that it takes only 2 hrs to reach, it is must to add for those who like head spinning rides and are total Ferrari fans. It has an exciting F1 kart racing for kids, Rollercoaster, 4D rides, a free-fall ride, and several other activities to enjoy. Open from Tuesday to Monday from 11am to 8pm, it is an exciting and fun place to be.
7. A Day at ‘PlayNation’
An exclusive place for kids, Playmania offers absolutely exciting things for children ranging from rides, games to indoor skydiving and tobogganing and snowboarding. Followed are a few pictures defining what is there:
Now, I hope it quenches the thirst of all those kids who want an “exclusive vacation” for them. So, parents out there, it’s time for you to book a vacation where your kids are going to be “THE” players!
